SUMMARY:Peter Walters  presenting “Rhumba Mama”
DESCRIPTION:Tickets: $18 – $45 \nGet ready for a night of irresistible groove and high-calibre musicianship as acclaimed bassist\, composer and arranger Peter Walters presents Rhumba Mama — a vibrant Latin jazz celebration brimming with rhythm\, soul and improvisational fire. \nA central figure in Brisbane’s jazz scene for over two decades\, Walters is renowned for his superb accompaniment and stylistic versatility. Classically trained\, he quickly established himself as a formidable jazz artist — equally at home in bebop\, blues\, soul\, manouche\, rock and contemporary jazz. A deft and expressive soloist\, he brings both authority and imagination to every performance. \nWalters has performed alongside some of Australia’s most respected jazz artists\, including James Morrison\, Don Burrows and Vince Jones\, as well as international greats such as Sheila Jordan and Johnny Griffin. Expect rhythmic heat\, inventive solos and the kind of musical interplay that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. \nThe Presynct\, upstairs – 15 Ann St\, Nambour \nDoors open 6:00pm\nShow starts 6:30pm to 9:00pm \nMeat and cheese platters available to pre-order in venue. \nParking available behind the venue. \nIf you’re looking for a unique concert experience\, look no further than The Jazz Sessions at The Presynct.
